Training, Distance Learning, Instructional Design

The principles of good instructional design are now well established and can be applied to teach both your customers and your employees.
If your web site can clearly show your customers how to go about doing something, that's one fewer phone call the customer service department will have to answer. If your customers become confused and are then placed on hold when they call, you could lose that order. It turns out there is a marketing tie to instructional media after all.
If you hire new employees, how much time and money do you want to spend bringing them up to speed? A training web site or a video could save you time, money and frustration. Check out these examples of training materials, some were prepared in graduate school at SDSU.
