VANCOUVER, BC — November 6, 2023 — Today, Hootsuite is bursting with pride and shouting from the rooftops that NYC Health + Hospitals — a valued customer leading the way on social in the healthcare space — has been awarded Gold placement in the ‘Best Social Media — Healthcare System’ category, in eHealthcare’s 2023 Leadership Awards.
The eHealthcare Leadership Awards recognize outstanding health websites and digital initiatives, highlighting the role of digital communications in achieving healthcare organizations’ business objectives.

NYC Health + Hospitals created a Social Media Ambassador program that leveraged the power of employee networks and content from medical professionals, providers, and health care experts to educate the public, combat misinformation, and strengthen talent acquisition. The award-winning program is powered by Hootsuite Amplify, an employee advocacy solution that helps organizations leverage their employees to help promote the company’s brand, educate their followers, and combat misinformation.

This leading awards program, now in its 24th year, draws some 1,000 entries annually. It exclusively recognizes the very best websites and digital communications of healthcare organizations (both large and small), online health companies, pharmaceutical/medical equipment firms, agencies/suppliers, and business improvement initiatives.
An independent panel of individuals familiar with healthcare and digital communications evaluate each entry. A total of 143 healthcare digital marketing professionals participated as judges in last year’s program. Judging takes place in July and August.
